Grade A Cashmere Makes BMPink Different

What Makes Baker Miller Pink Cashmere So Good?

Ever wondered what makes Baker Miller Pink Cashmere jumpers so good?
It’s all about Grade A.

Grade A Cashmere is the fine undercoat that certain goats grow to survive the harsh Mongolian winter (-40°C). Keeping warm in those conditions requires a lot of running around. Finding food under the snow requires super-fitness. A super-fit goat getting the right nutrition will produce a super-lush undercoat that meats the exacting standards of Grade A cashmere: its longer and finer than any other.

In Spring the fibre is gently combed out (never sheared), sorted by the wonderful experts in Mongolia, and spun into yarn. Next, comes the dyeing process, done responsibly, using low-impact dyes. Finally our band of happy knitters magic it into Baker Miller Pink knitwear.

That’s not the end.

Years later - and we really mean years - when your jumper’s been worn a million times, our 100% Grade A cashmere can be recycled into fresh, new yarn. If it had been blended with another fibre, it couldn’t. If it had elastane in the trims, they’d have to be removed. If it was Grade C cashmere, it would probably just be recycled into stuffing.

So when we say Baker Miller Pink Cashmere is so good, we aren’t not exaggerating.
