An Argument for Quality Cashmere
Share
Is it true no one’s interested in sustainability anymore?
WTAF?
We don’t think so.
But some people say sustainability is yesterday’s news.
Maybe there’s too much crap going on in the world to think of the bigger picture. And maybe we’re all broke.
However, even ethics aside, there’s still a winning argument for Baker Miller Pink Cashmere. Our cashmere is Grade A – it’ll last a very long time (with just the right amount of love) and it costs around half what other Grade A cashmere costs, because our overheads are tiny.
We want everyone to experience top quality cashmere at an affordable price. Meanwhile we’ll continue supporting sustainability quietly over here. Because it’s today’s news and tomorrow’s and forever more.
To be helpful, here’s a few questions to ask before you shell out on a new cashmere sweater…
1. Does it say GRADE A?
It it doesn’t say Grade A, it isn’t. And if the brand doesn't know, the answer is still no.
2. Where does the fibre originate?
Inner Mongolia produces the world's finest cashmere.
3. Does the garment hold certifications?
Good Cashmere Standard and Sustainable Fibre Alliance are the benchmarks worth looking for.
4. Can the brand describe its producer relationships?
Direct relationships with communities signal genuine supply chain knowledge.
5. Does the price reflect the true cost?
Quality fibre, responsibly produced, and fairly paid for cannot be delivered at £50. If it all seems too good to be true, it is.
